A telling metaphor

The people who oppose a state takeover of the St. Louis Public Schools are having a “teach-in” on Friday at City Hall.

Perhaps before the screaming and chanting starts, they can put their heads together and figure out how to spell the word “school.”

Akin, Davy Crockett, and war protesters

As anyone who has sat through a few of Todd Akin’s stump speeches will tell you, the man knows more about American history than just about anyone around.

So do Democrats really think that Akin thought Davy Crockett had a Blackberry?

National media may have jumped on Akin’s remark, but local lefties paid no mind — instead of protesting Bond or Akin, they were busy bothering their local Democrats.

Luckily for my friends in Akin’s district offices, MetroLink doesn’t travel to West County or St. Charles. Whew!
